One fine morning you wake up, Open Terrarium TV too see if there is an update on your favorite TV Show or Movie and found “No Data” displayed on your screen. No need to panic. We got you covered.
Welcome, TTV Users. We do know why you are here. Terrarium TV just displayed “No Data” on your app. For your kind information that is one of the most common errors. It actually means that the app wasn’t able to fetch the sources.
The main reason for the error is your ISP’s have blocked the stream source which recently happened in countries like US, UK, Canada and few other in the European Union.
For ISPs, it just takes a matter of time to monitor and block the streaming sites and apps.
Sometimes the app installation might be wrong which might lead to the “No Data” issue but it can be rectified with quick uninstall and reinstall.
From Users who faced “No Data” Issue
Here is what your screen looks when you have “No Data” Error(Below Image). Before finalizing that you have an error, make sure you tap into other categories or list and check if it has the same or not.
- Reddit user fancygirl95 posted that she faced the problem even after she had reinstalled terrarium tv and the No Data still kept on Showing up.
- JustLurking27 posted that he has been having this problem. But when Terrarium TV loads it fixes itself sometimes and it is not permanent since it comes back again.
- Vanakamb from Reddit posted, “Basically the whole app is telling that there’s no data on everything”
Based on data collected from many of the users the error seems to happen even after you Reinstall, Clear Data, or Clear Cache. But users have reported that the problem seems to fix on its own but soon after it repeats the same issue.
As we have told already one of the main reason is ISPs blocking the streams. This might also lead to buffering, freezing, lags during loading sources, pausing or streaming slow. Then here is how it can be fixed. If you ever questioned, “will the app get compromised?” I can promise you until you get from the source itself the app is legal and safe to use.
How we solved “No Data” Issue on Terrarium TV
If you are unfamiliar with VPN, then read more about it Wikipedia. Virtual Private Network or VPN basically enables the users to access any content from a private network that might be restricted to them. So that’s why VPN and Terrarium TV works well together. Since ISPs blocks, every source URLs VPN helps you to access them from a different location.
I personally recommend you to use NordVPN when “No Data” issue knocked on my doors. In NO time the error was rectified and I was streaming crazy. Here are some of the screenshots after enabling NordVPN and how it finally fixed my error.
Using NordVPN also fixes if your ISPs are doing “Bandwidth Throttling” to you which is the reason behind buffering, and other video pausing issues.
Change DNS Server Settings
Let me clear this out, the actual thing VPN does is change the DNS Settings of your device but their connection is encrypted so that “what you do- while browsing, or using terrarium TV” will be completely hidden. That’s why we prefer to use a VPN.
But alternatively, some prefer to Change the DNS settings on their Android device to Google DNS.
Thanks to our wonderful community of XDA developers, there is a detailed guide to change DNS on your Android Device even if it is rooted or non-rooted.
For Firestick Users – Sideload NordVPN using adblink, ES File Explorer or Downloader App. It is same like installing Terrarium TV on Firestick.
